Asteria, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yoichiro Hirano; Securities code: 3853; hereafter "Asteria") and Haudi Crypto, Inc. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazunori Asada; hereafter "Haudi Crypto") announce a business partnership around "JPYC Gateway," Asteria's enterprise JPYC deposit and withdrawal management service, and "Openloop"※1, the domestically developed hardware wallet built by Haudi Crypto (hereafter "Openloop"). Through this partnership, the companies will provide a secure environment for managing private keys※2 and similar assets for companies adopting JPYC Gateway, accelerating corporate use of stablecoins. Openloop will also be provided free of charge to the first 100 companies to adopt JPYC Gateway.

Background to the Partnership

Issuance of JPYC※3, a yen-denominated stablecoin, began in October 2025, and with some forecasts projecting an issuance scale of around 30 trillion yen by 2030, corporate use of stablecoins is rapidly expanding.

At the same time, for companies to put stablecoins to work in their operations, secure management of private keys and the signatures that use them is essential. This is especially true for companies, where a leaked private key or unauthorized access translates directly into business risk, demanding a high level of security. Most hardware wallets currently on the market are made overseas, and there has been demand for a highly reliable device — developed and supported domestically, and able to adapt flexibly as the Japanese market evolves — for managing yen-denominated stablecoins.

Asteria, which provides the enterprise JPYC deposit and withdrawal management service "JPYC Gateway," and Haudi Crypto, which develops "Openloop," a domestically developed hardware wallet built on a highly reliable hybrid design※4, are therefore forming a partnership to build an environment where companies can put JPYC to safe, secure use.

Overview of the Partnership

This partnership includes the following initiatives.

  • Integrating a hardware wallet into JPYC Gateway's private key management. When sending a payment, the transaction details are confirmed on the device's touchscreen and approved by the user through a cryptographic signature, creating a secure mechanism in which a transfer cannot be executed without physical approval on the device.
  • As a launch campaign for JPYC Gateway, providing Openloop free of charge to the first 100 companies, helping companies build a secure wallet environment right away.
  • Jointly developing and providing best practices for corporate stablecoin use.

About the "Openloop" Hardware Wallet

"Openloop" is a hardware wallet (crypto signer) that Haudi Crypto planned, designed, and developed from the ground up, entirely in Japan. It has a built-in secure element certified to EAL6+, which rigorously protects the seed (the master key that private keys are derived from) inside the device. It also uses a proprietary "DualSecure" technology that combines the keys of two independent chips to doubly encrypt the seed, maintaining security even if one chip is attacked.

With a touchscreen, battery power, and audio operation feedback, it's designed to be easy to use for both individual and corporate users. It supports three connection methods — air gap (QR code), USB, and Bluetooth — allowing flexible operation that matches each organization's security policy.

Looking Ahead

Through this partnership, the two companies will jointly strengthen the foundation for safe corporate use of stablecoins. Asteria will draw on the powerful enterprise ecosystem it has built around "ASTERIA Warp," and Haudi Crypto will draw on the security technology behind "Openloop," as they work together toward building payment infrastructure for enterprises that is ready for the age of AI agents.
